Beer and Bluegrass Festival in Poole continues to go from strength to strength, now into its 5th year and firmly set in all Bluegrass and Americana fans diaries. It attracts musicians from all over the world and this year welcomes no fewer than seven American artistes including veteran country rockers, I See Hawks in LA from California with Rachel Harrington from Washington and the Resonant Rogues from North Carolina.  

The Festival is set in the secluded grounds of the Victoria School in Branksome and the main stage is set within a natural amphitheatre with a woodland backdrop and the stunning ‘Claremont’ a Victorian former convent overlooking the Festival.

What also makes the Festival special is its Beer and Cider Festival. This year it highlights over 60 different Real Ales and Ciders produced by many outstanding small breweries and cider makers.

There also is a wide selection of home cooked food, including Hot Dogs and Burgers from Keatings of Wimborne and double Hog Roast on Saturday and new for this year are Wild Game savoury foods sourced from local estates. Vegans and Vegetarians are well catered for with the ever-popular Chilli’s and Baked Potatoes, baked to order.

Beer and Bluegrass is ideally situated between the towns of Poole and Bournemouth and minutes away from Branksome Rail Station and major bus routes.
