LOCKDOWN LIVE from English Folk Expo

English Folk Expo have collated a selection of folk musicians who are live streaming from home. They encourage you to like, follow and subscribe to these musician’s social media channels, mailing lists and streaming platforms. If you are able to, they ask you to find ways to support them such as buying CDs directly. For some musicians, accumulating likes and subscriptions (especially on platforms like YouTube) can enable the monetisation of content through adverts.

As they explain on their site:

"During this unprecedented time, some of the greatest pressure has fallen on those workers in the ‘gig’ economy. Musicians are the original gig economy workers and for many, they have seen half a year of work lost immediately in the fight against COVID-19."
