A message from Green Note following the "Thank you Green Note" Fundraiser:

This past Sunday, Romeo & Michele Stodart (of The Magic Numbers), organised an online fundraiser festival in support of the #SaveGreenNote crowdfunder campaign, featuring lots of special guests. It was a fantastic evening, with so much amazing music, good vibes and support for our venue. We loved every minute of it, and are so grateful to all the artists involved, and especially to Michele & Romeo for all their hard work in putting it together. And to everyone who watched also! It´s an amazing feeling to know that we´re not alone in this and that everyone´s rooting for us to get through this difficult time. Our crowdfunder link is also stilllive. We actually managed to reach our original target of 12K two thirds of the way through the fundraiser event on Sunday evening... which as you can imagine, we were all very excited about! Thank you so so much to each and every one of you who contributed! We have now added a stretch target of 18K, which has become the new goal that we´re working towards. It seems that we´ll have to remain closed for a lot longer than we originally anticipated when we first started this crowdfunder, so we´ll continue to be without any of our usual sources of income, while most of our overheads continue as usual. Independent music venues such as ours are in a very difficult position, as it´s just not practical or financially viable for us to open, given all government guidelines and restrictions applicable to our sector... However, the Music Venue Trust is working very hard to support us and have sent an open letter to the government, explaining the position of Grassroots Music Venues around the country, so hopefully there might be some further developments soon. But for now, we´re going to remain closed now for at least the next couple of months and we´ll keep you posted when we have any further updates.
