The Other Brother Band at The Old Queen´s Head

The Other Brother Band are delighted to announce their next gig, supporting My Fine Companions at The Old Queen’s Head, Angel!

The Other Brother Band play upbeat folk-jazz inspired by Danish, Ukrainian and Celtic folk. They´ve been described as sea shanty meets Beatles...Join them for a night of folk and blues presented by Hot Vox at The Old Queen’s Head on Thursday 6th July at 7pm.

The Other Brother Band are a collective who play upbeat original folk-jazz songs. Their inspirations are celtic folk meets sea shanty meets Beatles meets traditional British acoustic. They are a band of friends, cousins and actual brothers, spanning from Ukraine to Denmark to Britain.

According to a recent reviewer, My Fine Companions “create the feeling you have known them forever, inviting you to share a friendly drink”. Another called their music “a fantastic communal experience”. The band themselves describe what they do as “country folk music, played for fun, usually accompanied by beer”.

With support from Joey Mac. A joyous performer, her lyrics balance earnestness and humour to tell stories of love and heartbreak. As she weaves between thoughtful melodies and cathartic foot-stompers, Joey Mac will take you on a ride, and leave you with a warm glow when it’s all over.

It’ll be a beautiful night of music with some spectacular bands! Tickets £9 here
